About Project
Canvas.io is a B2B Project Management SaaS designed exclusively for managing design projects. Tailored to meet the unique needs of design teams, it offers features like task assignments, progress tracking, setting deadlines, budget tracking and easy file sharing. It simplifies communication between project managers and designers, thus ensuring a seamless workflow throughout the project lifecycle.
Goal
To understand pain-points in the management of design projects, and analyze gaps in the existing project management softwares, and create a platform for enhanced project management.
Step 1 was to understand the existing competitors that provide a SAAS platform for a similar lines. We made a chart and jotted down the strengths and weaknesses of the 6 competitors, according to the Nielsen Norman's 10 Heuristic Parameters.
